After being in the Caribbean last year (Martinique) this years winter destination is Guadeloupe. It is also a French Island, I really liked the atmosphere on Martinique with lots of small towns and great nature. I hope Guadeloupe will be the same.
The island is divided into Basse Terre (volcano and nature) and Grande Terre (beaches and hotels). The first days we stay on Grande Terre to relax a little, the rest we stay on Basse Terre to do some hiking, kayaking, swimming etc… and of course I some photography. There are some waterfalls on the island that look really good… Also the hike to the top of the volcano (La Soufriere) is on the schedule. Lets see 🙂
Again getting there is a little complicated. First the flight from Stutgart to Paris (6:20 am…). In Paris we have to change airports from CDG to Orly. Then we have a direct flight to Pointe a Pitre, the biggest town on the island. Hopefully Air France takes our luggage this time…
