To catch some winter sun the Algarve was the perfect destination for us. Seven days just perfect sunshine all day that is nothing we have experienced on the last trips. We stayed in Lagos close to the endless Meia beach and in walking distance to the city. Close to Lagos is Ponta da Piedade one of the most famous coast lines in the area. We visited it from the top where they just have build wooden walkways this year. And we also visited it by boat which was absolutely fantastic. The small boars are driving into the caves and through natural bridges. Beside the beach and Lagos we went to Sagres and Cap Sao Vicente – the most South Western Part of Europe. And we visted the coastal towns of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo. Everything 30-40 Minutes away from Lagos. At this time of the year there was still some tourism, most shops and restaurants were open. Also the attractions like Lagos Zoo. The sun was also a bit stronger than expected. We enjoyed our time very much.
