Probably the last hiking trip to the alps this season, and what a trip. Fantastic weather, very good view, clear sky – this is what late summer should be like (not like the horrible and rainy August…). I have already done this trip (to the Hochjoch area) about 2 years ago (in cloudy weather) so this was a big difference. A little disapointing was the construction of a new chairlift that ruined the landscape a bit.
This time we were very lazy and we took the gondola from Schruns to the summit and started hiking at about 2000m ;). After 15 Minutes easy walking you reach the „Wormser Hütte“ and you continue on a great route always on the top via the Kreuzjoch to the Zamangspitze. The whole time we had great views of the sourounding mountains from Arlberg – Silvretta – Rätikon even to the Alpstein. Only the Bodensee was not possible to see…
