On of the highlights in Patagonia is the visit of Perito Moreno Glacier close to El Calafate. It is not the biggest glacier but a very accessible one. What is special is that the glacier devides the Lago Argentino in two halfs. On half is filling more and more up with water and the water starts to create a tunnel in the glacier (due to the water pressure). This only happens every couple of years and I got lucky, this time there was a tunnel. Highlight is when the tunnel collapses. This will happen in the next days… Again I did a little boat tour close to the glacier. The weather was great, forecast was rain, weather was sunny. I hope it will be the same in Torres del Paine.
