A 10 day business trip brought me to Serbia – to Ivanjica to be precise. Definitly an area that was not on my map and is not really tourity. But exactly that was the charme. Almost no international tourism, friendly people. Good and cheap food. Sadly I only had Saturday afternoon and Sunday to drive a bit around to see a bit more.
For me the highlight was Uvac – an insider tip and not so easy to reach – SUV is a good idea. Uvac Canyon is a gorge with a funny looking river going back and forth and some nice viewpoints. Fantastic for sunset.
Sunday I visited some churches and monastaries in the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge as well as the Studenica Monastery and the Maglic Fortress for sunset. Sadly not much time for picutes so again just a few.
The area is a bit remote, about 3-4 hours from Belgrade.
